Play with friends in a party

What is a party?

A party is a small group of friends playing on BrainBreak together. One of you is the host: whatever game the host opens, the party plays too. There is a party chat on the side, so you can pick the next game, plan your team or just talk while you play.

How it works

1. Start a party. Open any game and press the party button in the top bar, or choose Start a party from your account menu. Hosting a party needs an account.
2. Invite your friends. Press Invite friends to copy the party link or share it straight from your phone. Friends with an account join under their chat name; anyone else picks a name and joins as a guest.
3. Play. Open a game and the party comes along. When you switch to another game, everyone who follows you moves there too. Members who want to stay can turn Follow the host off.
4. Land in the same room. Many .io games have their own rooms or invite links. Paste the game’s room link into the party and your friends join your room, not a random server.
5. Talk in the party chat. Only the people in your party can read it.

Good to know

• Which games? Parties work with the games you play right here on BrainBreak. Games that only open on the developer’s own site can’t be played in a party.
• Any size. There is no limit on how many friends can join.
• Safe chat. The party chat has the same rules as every chat here: no links, no spam, and anything rude can be reported to a moderator. The host can remove a player from the party.
• Guests. Joining as a guest needs only a name. Create an account to keep your name, favorites and votes.
• When it ends. A party ends when everyone has left or nobody has used it for 12 hours. If the host leaves, the player who has been in the party longest becomes the host.

Pick a name, send the link to your friends and choose a game. Got an invite link from a friend? Just open it to join, no account needed.
