About Galax.io
Galax.io is a pixel-art space strategy game where you grow a small empire into a galactic power. You send fighters, miners, scouts and freighters across the map to mine, trade, explore and attack, taking planets and claiming systems from rival empires as you go.
You can jump into your own galaxy against AI empires, join a Free For All match where empty seats are filled with AI, or set up a custom game with your own size, asteroids, starting resources and build speed. It runs in the browser with no download, and a short tutorial mission on a tiny map teaches the basics.

How to play Galax.io
- Type an optional empire name, then choose Play for a solo galaxy, Join for Free For All, or Open for a custom game.
- Select your ships or planets with a click, then click anywhere to send them to move, mine, attack or trade.
- Use miners to gather resources and build up your fleet of fighters, scouts and freighters.
- Besiege and conquer enemy planets while defending your own to rule the galaxy.
- If your last planet and ship are gone, your empire falls, and you can respawn or return to the menu.

Tips for Galax.io
- Play the tutorial first: it covers mining, exploring, building, besieging, defending and conquering on a small map.
- Use the number keys to grab one ship type fast, such as 2 to send all miners to a new asteroid field.
- Set Ctrl-click patrol loops around your planets so fighters guard them while you focus elsewhere.
- Press Space when an alert pops up to jump straight to the trouble before you lose a planet.
