About starblast.io

starblast.io is a multiplayer arcade space shooter where you pilot a small ship through a field of asteroids and other players. You blast rocks and enemies to collect the crystals they drop, then spend that haul on upgrades that make your ship stronger.

The fun comes from the constant push and pull between growing and surviving. Every crystal brings you closer to a better ship, but rival pilots are hunting for the same loot. It runs in the browser with no download, so you can jump into a battle in seconds and respawn quickly after a loss.

How to play starblast.io

Press Play to join the battle and spawn in space with a basic ship.

Shoot asteroids and enemy ships to break them apart and collect the crystals they leave behind.

Use your crystals to upgrade your ship before other players can take you down.

Keep collecting, upgrading and defeating rivals to climb the leaderboard, and respawn if you are destroyed.

Tips for starblast.io

Farm asteroids early, when your ship is weak, so you can build up crystals without risking a fight.

Upgrade as soon as you have enough crystals, since holding onto them unspent gains you nothing if you get destroyed.

Try switching RCS on and off with CTRL to find the ship handling that feels best to you.

Use the Training option to get comfortable with flying and shooting before taking on other players.
