About MathMax.io
MathMax.io is a fast math puzzle game where two expressions appear on screen and you pick the one with the greater value. Problems use addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, negative numbers and order of operations, so you need to think quickly and carefully before the timer runs out.
Correct answers in a row earn more points and in-game items that add time, skip a problem or simplify one. You can chase rank badges from pro up to alien, and strong scores on Easy, Hard and Insane unlock a secret mode. It runs in the browser with no download, and your high scores save automatically.
How to play MathMax.io
- Press New and choose a difficulty level: Easy, Hard or Insane.
- Work out the value of the top and bottom expressions.
- Select the expression with the greater value before the timer reaches zero.
- Build streaks of correct answers to earn more points and collect TIME, SKIP and EVAL items.
- Score as many points as possible to earn rank badges and unlock the secret mode.

Tips for MathMax.io
- Follow order of operations: do multiplication and division before addition and subtraction, or you will misjudge which side is bigger.
- Protect your streak, since consecutive correct answers give more points and items.
- Save SKIP and EVAL for tricky problems with negative numbers, and use TIME when the clock is nearly out. You can hold up to 3 of each.
- Use the Save link as a backup, because clearing your browser history can erase your high scores and badges.
