gats.io is a top-down online shooter where you pick a weapon, a color and an armor level, then drop into an arena against other players in real time. You can choose from a pistol, SMG, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper or LMG, and earn upgrades and perks as you play. It runs in the browser with no download, though it is built for computers rather than mobile devices.

The fun comes from building a loadout that fits how you like to fight and then testing it against real opponents. You can play Free For All, Team Deathmatch or Domination, and the server browser lets you join public games or host your own. Custom servers can change things like damage, player speed, bullet speed, block density and fog, so matches can feel very different from one server to the next.
